Susan Wise Bauer Posts The Publisher's Weekly Review of Volume One of her History of the World

Susan Wise Bauer has been writing a four volume History of the World and the first volume is coming out this spring.  Norton will publish The History of the Ancient World: From Earliest Accounts to the Fall of Rome on March 27, 2007.

I became aware of Bauer and her work earlier this year and I've been keeping up with Bauer's progress on her blog.  Recently she posted about her ambivalent response to the first major review, from Publisher's Weekly, for Volume One.   

If you're a writer or fascinated by writers and writing, Bauer's blog provides  great behind the scenes depictions of the joys and challenges of writing a massive work.
